In early 2014 Crimea was annexed from Ukraine and since that time much of the Western world has imposed sanctions on russia for that action and for other issues in Eastern Ukraine.
These sanctions now include the prohibition of sending money into the Crimea area – for any reason. This is a policy of most Western Banks, including our own.
We had been working with an agency that is based in Crimea, even though most of their ladies are now in other parts of Ukraine. However, we cant pay this agency for the work that they perform so we have had to advise them that we will no longer work with them until the situation is resolved.
Some men will have received emails from us advising of this situation and offering the ladies personal contact details so that they can continue to correspond outside the site.
This is unfortunate for all concerned and we apologise. However, this does give some insight into the disruption that is real in the lives of many people in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea. We hope that this situation is resolved sooner rather than later and that their lives can return to normal.
On a much brighter note, our very own Jana was married last week to Markel and we are absolutely delighted at this great news and we wish Jana and Markel a wonderful and happy life together.
