Weekly update – 09 January 2013

Happy New Year!

I mentioned last week that I am going to make some changes to the site during 2013 to make things easier and more favourable for men who use the site. I also mentioned that I will be reporting some things I discovered about other sites in my blogs http://www.ukrainebridesagency.com/blog/

First I will tell you about some changes we made this week to improve security and confidence for you when you use the site. We have made it compulsory for a lady to load photos of her passport and contact details on her profile before she can register onto the site. Privacy laws and internet security means that these can not be viewed by men who use the site, but I can see these and can immediately verify any lady who you think may not be genuine.

I regularly get asked by guys why a lady is on my site with a name and profile that may be different to another site. Every time I have discovered that the other site has stolen her profile and loaded it to use to attract men. This is common. By having the passport photos and contact details I can confirm immediately that she is registered with us and is not fictitious.

We have always verified ladies and kept their details at the agency, but now I will be able to check and respond to any requests for checks within minutes. We have asked the agencies to upload these retrospectively for ladies that they have loaded and we will have a flag against the profiles indicating that they are authenticated.

I will also start reporting my findings on other sites in my blogs – as I mentioned previously, I was shocked at some things I saw.

I welcome any stories or experiences that you may have had elsewhere as I would love to publish these (anonymously) to share the pitfalls that are out there and also to ensure they never happen at this site. Please email me using the contact page and I will publish these stories for all to see.

I apologise if things have been a little slow over the last 2 weeks. As most of you know, Ukraine Christmas was January 7 so while we took a break from December 25 to January 1, the agencies took a break from January 1 to January 8. Long story….
