I have mentioned that this year I will be working on making the industry more honest and looking at the methods adopted by dating sites and detailing them here so that you can be aware of possible traps and actions to avoid.
However, the actions of one member this week prompted me to first report on a common practice adopted by men; try to get his contact details to the ladies for free.
There are reasons why we don’t allow this but most men think it is only so that we keep control and make sure you keep paying for as long as you use the site. This is not true, otherwise we would not sell contact details.
We don’t allow free interchange of contact details because we want to keep scammers from fleecing you and give you the protection and support that we promise. As soon as you write directly to the lady, we have no idea what is happening and we cant help you if you ask. This is not likely through the agencies and the site as we offer guarantees
We do charge for contact details as we must to stay in business. We have agencies with rent, wages, equipment and utilities to pay. If there were no agencies there would be no ladies. There are site costs and without the site you cant find and communicate with the ladies.
We don’t charge you a joining fee, nor a monthly subscription, nor any recurring costs so we must recoup some costs for providing the service if you decide to communicate off site and directly.
Many men don’t understand this and use all kinds of methods to bypass the system and get their contact details to the ladies.
Back to the man I was talking about…… he sent messages to 6 ladies and included his email address. The site picked this up and rejected his messages. His credits were reinstated and he was asked to remove the contact details and resubmit his message.
He resent all 6 messages, but had simply changed the text to camouflage the contact details. Again they were rejected.
He continued to try this over and over.
He is one of many and they all say we are scammers and just want their money.
What he does not realise is that the ladies are also aware of the rules for using the site and they abide by them (mostly) in the hope that they will find a special man.
WHEN A GUY TRIES TO CHEAT THE SYSTEM TO GET HIS CONTACT DETAILS TO HER SHE SEES A GUY WHO IS DISHONEST AND WILL NOT SPEND $50 TO COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY WITH HER. DOES HE HONESTLY THINK SHE WILL BE INTERESTED IN MARRYING HIM?
