I asked my mentor whether he would date a retail worker. My mentor is a wildly successful guy who runs an 8-figure business, whereas the average retail worker’s annual salary is quite low. He says, “If this retail worker has no ambition, no compelling future, nothing exciting going on in her life, then to be honest with you, I find that unattractive. But if she is working in retail simply because she is still working on her side hustle & trying to make her own business work while making a living by doing retail, I find that very attractive. Or if she is doing retail work now in order to learn how to do the work and she plans to become the manager of that place, I also find her quite attractive because she has a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset.”
